Biography
Bill Dungey is a volunteer firefighter in County of Brant, Ontario, Canada. With relevant formal education and articles published in magazines spanning International Firefighter, Canadian Firefighter , Firefighting in Canada, FIREHOUSE Magazine and Crackyl, he is passionate about providing structured resiliency training to both new and senior members of public service.
Without framing firefighters as victims of the job, a well deserved argument can be made toward helping our members develop a fortified mindset ahead of trauma instead of relying on time in service to ‘hopefully’ prepare our members for exposure to hard calls.
Bill is the author of The Wedge (timeandeffort.ca) – a free and open source goal setting program being offered to firefighters throughout North America since 2020. He also authored F&I, a fitness and resiliency program for new recruits in his volunteer department. Bill is a certified Resilient Minds trainer and a RYT200 Yoga Teacher in Training.
